Those interested in the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra should hurry up. The last date to apply online is March 5. The last date to submit printed application is March 10. The Yatra will take place between June 8- September 9. In total 18 batches, each with a maximum 60 Yatris, are planned to be sent for the Yatra. The Yatra proper will be for 22 days. In addition, Yatris need to spend 3 days in Delhi for medical tests, Chinese visa, briefings, etc. The Delhi Government will provide free meals and accommodation for the stay in Delhi. Yatris are, however, free to make their own arrangements. The Yatra involves trekking at high altitudes of up to 19,500 feet, under inhospitable conditions, including extreme cold and rugged terrain, and may prove hazardous for those who are not physically and medically fit.
